Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok

     Police today (March 27) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok on March 12 in which a 62-year-old woman died.

     About 11.41am on that day, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 36-year-old man was travelling along Wang Hoi Road towards Kowloon Bay. When approaching Wang Yuen Street, it reportedly knocked down the 62-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining multiple injuries, the woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 10.03am on March 20.

     The LGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm right after the accident. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in late April.

     Active investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
