Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, at a media session on Asia Television Limited (ATV) at the Legislative Council Complex today (March 26):
Reporter: What will the Communications Authority do if ATV is going to liquidate soon?
Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development: I would not comment on a hypothetical question. But as a licence holder, ATV is required to perform and provide the services according to the licence conditions as well as the (Broadcasting) Ordinance, the applicable law. The Communications Authority will pay close attention to the development with respect to ATV to ensure that the services will be provided according to the licence conditions, or any interruption to the services will be kept to the minimal.
