Ballots drawn for Sale of Home Ownership Scheme Flats 2014 (with photo)

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:

     Ballots were drawn today (March 26) for the Sale of Home Ownership Scheme Flats 2014 to determine applicants' order of flat selection. The Chairman of the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) Subsidised Housing Committee, Mr Stanley Wong, officiated at the ballot drawing.

     A total of 2,160 flats with saleable area ranging from 34.5 square metres to 47.5 square metres in five developments were offered for sale, namely Mei Pak Court (288 flats) and Mei Ying Court (216 flats) in Sha Tin, Wang Fu Court (229 flats) in Yuen Long, Ching Chun Court (465 flats) in Tsing Yi and Sheung Chui Court (962 flats) in Tsuen Wan.

     By applying a discount of 30 per cent to the assessed market values, the selling prices of flats ranged from the lowest at $1,873,500 in Mei Pak Court to the highest at $3,264,600 in Sheung Chui Court.

     Some 135,000 applications were received upon final counting, of which about 123,500 were White Forms and about 11,500 were Green Forms.

    The Housing Department (HD) will vet the applications according to the ballot results, and will send notifications in batches to invite eligible applicants to go to the office of the Home Ownership Scheme Sales Unit in Lok Fu for flat selection commencing early May.

    The ballot results have been uploaded to a dedicated webpage at the HA/HD website at (www.housingauthority.gov.hk/mini-site/hos2014/en/ballot-results.html). The priority list of the applications will be uploaded tomorrow (March 27) to the above dedicated webpage. It will also be posted from tomorrow onwards at the HA Customer Service Centre in Lok Fu, the Estate Offices and District Tenancy Management Offices of the HA, the Estate Offices of the Hong Kong Housing Society, the Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department and the Sham Shui Po Housing Information Centre. Applicants may also call the HA sales hotline 2712 8000 for enquiries.
