The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, will lead a Hong Kong delegation to Guangzhou, departing tomorrow morning (March 19), to co-chair with the Director-General of the Guangdong Environmental Protection Department, Mr Li Qing, the 14th meeting of the Hong Kong-Guangdong Joint Working Group on Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection.
During the meeting, both sides will review the progress of the environmental collaboration in 2014, and agree on a work plan for 2015.
After the meeting, Mr Wong will visit the Guangdong Environmental Monitoring Center where he will see the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao PRD Regional Air Quality Monitoring Network Data Centre as well as the Modiesha Regional Monitoring Station.
Mr Wong will return to Hong Kong tomorrow evening.
