The Government announced today (March 18) that the Chief Executive has appointed Mr Pang Yiu-kai as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Directorate Salaries and Conditions of Service (the Directorate Committee) for a term of two years from April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2017. Mr Pang will succeed Mr Tim Lui Tim-leung who will retire from the Directorate Committee on the same day.
The Chief Executive has also re-appointed Mrs Betty Yuen So Siu-mai, and appointed Mr Clement Chen Cheng-jen and Mr Sze Wing-hang, as members of the Directorate Committee, all for a term of two years with effect from April 1, 2015.
The Government expresses gratitude for the service of Mr Tim Lui Tim-leung and Mr Stanley Wong Yuen-fai. Both will retire from the Directorate Committee after serving as its Chairman and member respectively for the past six years.
The Directorate Committee advises the Government on matters relating to the structure, pay and conditions of service of the directorate ranks in the civil service. Other serving members of the Directorate Committee are Dr Eliza Chan Ching-har and Mr Peter Sit Kien-ping.
