Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui this afternoon (March 3) in which a 57-year-old man died.
At about 4.20pm, a taxi driven by the man was travelling along Sha Tau Kok Road – Lung Yeuk Tau towards Fanling. When approaching Ma Sik Road, it reportedly lost control and rammed into the railings on roadside.
After the impact, the man was in unconscious state and was rushed to the North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 4.59pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.
