To further enhance efficiency and bring greater convenience to the public, the Transport Department (TD) will introduce an appointment booking service for application for the International Driving Permit this Sunday (March 1), so that the public can make prior appointments online or by phone before applying for the Permit at TD licensing offices.
"Through this free-of-charge appointment booking service, applicants can reserve time slots for counter service by calling the 24-hour booking hotline 3763 8080 or visiting the website www.gov.hk/idpabs," a TD spokesman said.
"Applicants who have made appointments can apply for the International Driving Permit in person or by agent with completed application forms and required documents at the designated counter of the selected licensing offices in the reserved time slots. This will reduce the applicants' queuing time for service at the licensing offices."
