The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:
The Legislative Council (LegCo) will hold a meeting on Wednesday (February 11) at 11am and Thursday (February 12) and Friday (February 13) at 9am on each day in the Chamber of the LegCo Complex. During the meeting, Members will speak on "Motion of Thanks", to be moved by Mr Andrew Leung, which states: "That this Council thanks the Chief Executive for his address."
Mr Frederick Fung, Mr Lee Cheuk-yan, Mr Leung Yiu-chung, Dr Kwok Ka-ki, Dr Helena Wong, Ms Cyd Ho, Dr Fernando Cheung and Mr Cheung Kwok-che will move separate amendments to Mr Andrew Leung's motion.
On bill, the Interception of Communications and Surveillance (Amendment) Bill 2015 will be introduced into the Council for First and Second Readings. Second Reading debate on the bill will be adjourned.
In addition, Dr Chiang Lai-wan will move a proposed resolution under section 34(4) of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance to seek the Council's approval to extend the period for amending the Minimum Wage Ordinance (Amendment of Schedule 3) Notice 2015 and the Employment Ordinance (Amendment of Ninth Schedule) Notice 2015, laid on the table of LegCo on January 21, 2015, to the meeting of March 18, 2015.
During the meeting, Members will also ask the Administration 22 questions on various policy areas, all of which require written replies.
