Talented migrants laud HK life
******************************

Faced with an ageing population and a shrinking labour force, the Government plans to take a more proactive approach to recruiting talented people and professionals from outside Hong Kong. The Immigration Department will implement measures outlined in this year's Policy Address to relax the restrictions on employment and residency.

News.gov.hk spoke to a professional rugby coach from Britain and a research and development manager from Singapore who were brought in under Government employment schemes to hear their views on working in Hong Kong.

An adviser to the Immigration Department explained what kind of talent the city was looking for, and which new industries could use outside expertise to help groom the next generation.

The story appears on news.gov.hk today (February 8) in both text and video format.
