Fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

    Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok this morning (January 30) in which a 28-year-old man was killed.

     At about 4.06am, a taxi driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling along Nathan Road towards Tsim Sha Tsui. When approaching 601 Nathan Road, it reportedly hit the 28-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious injuries, the man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.48am.

     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is now being detained.

     Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
