The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will visit Guangzhou and Shenzhen on January 30 to call on major leaders of the Guangdong Provincial Government and the Shenzhen Municipal Government.
Also included in the visit will be the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam; the Secretary for Education, Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim; the Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan; the Director of Information Services, Mr Patrick Nip; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mr Carlson Chan; the Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping; and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Anson Lai.
Mr Leung will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on the same day. The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, and the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, will be the acting Chief Executive in the morning and in the afternoon respectively during Mr Leung's absence.
