Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsing Yi in the afternoon of January 17 in which a 54-year-old man was killed.
About 4pm that day, the 54-year-old man was riding a bicycle whereas a 60-year-old man was driving a single deck bus along Pak Yan Road towards Ma Wan Bus Terminus in sequence. When approaching Ma Wan Fire Station, the bus reportedly collided with the bicycle and the cyclist fell onto the ground.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the cyclist was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 2.57pm yesterday (January 20).
Investigations are being conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South.
