The following is issued on behalf of the Executive Council Secretariat:
The monthly honorarium of the Convenor and other Non-Official Members of the Executive Council (ExCo) will be restored to its original level, i.e. $122,520 and $76,510 respectively, starting February 1, 2015.
"To stand shoulder to shoulder with the community at the then difficult times, the ExCo Non-Official Members took the initiative to reduce their monthly honorarium by 5.38 per cent in 2009. Since the economic conditions have improved as compared with those in 2009, the honorarium of Non-Official Members will be restored to its original level with effect from February 1, 2015," a spokesman for the ExCo Secretariat said.
