United Nations Sanctions (Somalia) (Amendment) Regulation 2015 gazetted

The Government today (January 16) gazetted the United Nations Sanctions (Somalia) (Amendment) Regulation 2015 (the Amendment Regulation), which came into operation today.
"The Amendment Regulation amends the existing Regulation on Somalia to incorporate decisions of the United Nations Security Council under Resolution 2182," a Government spokesman said.
The Amendment Regulation mainly renews the exceptions to the arms embargo measures, the prohibition against the provision of advice, assistance and training, as well as financial sanctions in respect of Somalia.
