Government to reconstruct existing seawall in West Kowloon

     The Government proposes to reconstruct three sections of the existing seawall within a total area of about 1 450 square metres of foreshore and seabed in West Kowloon for the purpose of upgrading an existing drainage outfall and constructing two drainage outfalls.

     The proposed works are planned to commence in late 2015 and to be completed by 2018. The extent of the area affected is stated in a notice published today (January 9) in the Government Gazette (www.gld.gov.hk/egazette/pdf/20151902/egn20151902395.pdf).

     The notice together with its related plan is posted on notice boards near the site. The plan can also be seen at the Survey and Mapping Office of the Lands Department, 23/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong (where copies can be purchased on order); at the Yau Tsim Mong District Office Public Enquiry Service Centre, G/F, Mong Kok Government Offices, 30 Luen Wan Street, Mong Kok, Kowloon; and on the Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) under Government Notices.

     Any person who considers that he or she has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and seabed involved may submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong by March 9, 2015.
