The speed limit will be temporarily reduced along the eastbound side of the North Lantau Highway between Tung Chung and Tai Ho Wan from January 10 (Saturday), 2015, to April 30, 2017, to facilitate the construction of the Tuen Mun - Chek Lap Kok Link Southern Connection Viaduct Section.
Effective from midnight on January 10, the speed limit along the eastbound carriageway of the North Lantau Highway from a point about 300 metres east of its junction with Airport Road to about 4 500 metres east of the same junction will be reduced from 110 kilometres per hour to 80km/h in order to enhance the safety of road users and workers. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.
