Fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok this morning (January 5) in which a 91-year-old woman was killed.

     At about 10am, a taxi driven by a 53-year-old man was travelling along westbound Argyle Street. After passing the junction with Reclamation Street, the taxi reportedly collided with a light goods vehicle driven by a 40-year-old man on the adjacent lane and hit the 91-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the female pedestrian was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 8.31pm.

     Active investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
