A new layout of the Police Public Page (PPP) was launched today (December 30) to allow members of the public to obtain police information more easily at a glance.
ˇ§The Police are committed to make better use of different platforms, including the PPP, to enhance communication with the public. The PPP has undergone a redesign to provide better browsing experience to the users,ˇ¨ a Police spokesman said.
Apart from rearranging the layout of the PPP in order to present information in a more concise manner so as to highlight the key messages, web accessibility elements have also been added to facilitate people with disabilities to obtain information of the Force. Having considered the uptrend of using tablet computers and mobile phones for webpage browsing, a new technology, Responsive Web Design, has been introduced. The redesigned PPP will detect the device used by the user and display the appropriate size and content. This will further enrich userˇ¦s experience by providing smooth and efficient browsing of the PPP with different devices.
ˇ§We hope that the latest web design can facilitate the users and further enhance the hit rate of the PPP so that our messages can reach the public more extensively,ˇ¨ the spokesman added.
