Appointments to Youth Square Management Advisory Committee

     The Home Affairs Bureau (HAB) announced today (December 24) the re-appointment of four incumbent members and appointment of five new members to the Youth Square Management Advisory Committee (MAC) for a two-year term from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2016.

     The Chairperson and non-official members of the MAC are as follows:

     The MAC also comprises representatives from the HAB, the Education Bureau and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department as members.

     The HAB thanked the seven outgoing members (Mr Chan Kai-ming, Ms Amy Fung Dun-mi, Mr Ko Tin-lung, Ms Amy Leung Oi-mui, Mr Pau Shiu-hung, Mr Adrian Yip Chun-to and Ms Yung Sau-mui) for their valued support and contributions to the MAC in the past six years.

     The MAC is a non-statutory advisory body to advise the Government on matters pertaining to the operation of the Youth Square, including the overall strategy and objectives of the Youth Square; themes and contents of youth development programmes; the use, allocation, leasing and charging arrangements of various facilities; and evaluating the effectiveness of the use of the Youth Square in promoting youth development programmes and monitoring the performance of the operator.
