Arrangements for purchase under the Home Ownership Scheme Flats 2014
**********************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:

The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) encourages members of the public to make good use of the website designated for the Sale of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats 2014 (www.housingauthority.gov.hk/hos2014) to gather information of the new HOS developments.

The website provides one-stop service for the public to get sales documents as well as general information of the new HOS developments.

HA Customer Service Centre (HACSC) in Lok Fu drew large crowd today (December 23) queuing up for collection of sales documents of the five new HOS developments.

A spokesman for the HA said the overwhelming numbers forced visitors to wait for a long time to get the documents.

The spokesman said the public do not need to flock to the HACSC as the sales documents can be obtained through different channels over a period of time.

Throughout the sales period, the public can download the whole pack of sales documents, including application forms and guides, sales brochures, price lists and sales arrangements, from the above-mentioned designated websites for the five developments round the clock. Besides, the HACSC will also make available these sales documents round the clock before January 12, 2015. Up until 5pm today, the HACSC has distributed 38,000 application forms, including 25,000 White Forms and 13,000 Green Forms as well as 49,000 sales brochures.

During the application period from December 30, 2014 to January 12, 2015, application forms and guides, together with sales arrangements, can also be obtained during office hours from the Estate Offices and District Tenancy Management Offices of the HA, Estate Offices of the Hong Kong Housing Society, the Public Enquiry Service Centres of Home Affairs Department and Sham Shui Po Housing Information Centre. Sales brochures of the five developments are also available for inspection at the above venues.

The spokesman said the two show flats of Sheung Chui Court at the atrium of Domain in Yau Tong, also attracted a substantial number of visitors today. As at 5pm today, a total of about 3,400 visitors were recorded.

Crowd control measures may be implemented which include suspension of issuing entry tickets to the show flats. To avoid long waits, the public are advised to view virtual show flats videos and doll houses of Sheung Chui Court and Mei Pak Court on the designated HOS website, the spokesman said.

"To ease the crowd from having long waiting time at the HACSC, we have added one more counter to help distribute the sales documents and the situation will be kept closely monitored," the spokesman said.

"Messages alerting people to refrain from visiting the HACSC or the show flats in Domain when the queue is excessively long will be issued through Information Services Department. For enquiries on the sale exercise, members of the public may call the HA 24-hour Sales Hotline on 2712 8000," the spokesman added.
