Beijing Holdings Limited (BHL) announced today (December 22) that it has opened a high-end business centre in Hong Kong, leveraging the city's favourable business environment to assist Beijing enterprises to "go global" and enhance business opportunities between the two places.

Located in Sheung Wan, BHL International Business Centre is a dedicated space for Beijing enterprises, providing one-stop business services, including offices, administrative services, online advertising, business consulting, financial consultancy and up-to-date investment information. It aims to provide an overseas incubator platform for Beijing enterprises and SMEs to "go global" via Hong Kong. The business centre is also the home of Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau's "Beijing Enterprises Overseas Expansion Business Incubator".

BHL International Business Centre Company Limited is a subsidiary of BHL, which acts as the overseas affiliate of the Beijing Municipal Government. The establishment of BHL International Business Centre in Hong Kong demonstrates the support from the Beijing Municipal Government for Mainland enterprises to "go global" through Hong Kong. It also reaffirms the role of Hong Kong in terms of the Mainland's continued economic development.

The Chairman of BHL International Business Centre Company Limited, Mr Xu Yanbin, said, "Hong Kong's role as an international business and financial centre is very solid. It has long been the best location for Mainland enterprises to 'go global'. As Mainland enterprises are becoming international, and given their growing demand for overseas business services, we decided to open an international business centre in Hong Kong offering serviced offices for Mainland companies.

"Beijing and Hong Kong have close commercial ties. It is inevitable that we establish a foothold in Hong Kong if Mainland enterprises plan to expand their businesses overseas. We will make use of Hong Kong's business advantages to help our clients expand their business overseas," Mr Xu added.

The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Francis Ho, was encouraged by the opening of BHL International Business Centre in Hong Kong. He said, "Mainland China has been Invest Hong Kong's largest source of projects coming into Hong Kong for many years and we have helped various kinds of Mainland companies to set up in the city. As the overseas affiliate of the Beijing Municipal Government, BHL's business centre in Hong Kong is not only helping Mainland companies to 'go global', but also reaffirming the importance of Hong Kong's role in the Mainland's economic development. I wish BHL International Business Centre and all Mainland companies success in the city and I hope they are able to expand their business around the world from Hong Kong."
