Zoo Education Exhibition enriches the holidays
**********************************************

With the Christmas and New Year holidays approaching, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) invites the public to visit the annual roving exhibition, Zoo Education Exhibition 2014, to learn more about the cat family and spend an extraordinary winter season.

A spokesman for the LCSD said that the department hoped the exhibition would help enhance public interest in animal ecology and awareness of nature conservation.

The roving exhibition will be held at Tuen Mun Park, Yuen Long Park, Kowloon Park and Hong Kong Park in sequence from today (December 22) to January 18 next year. It was held earlier in Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens and Tai Po Waterfront Park.

The exhibition comprises information panels with lively photos of more than 10 different kinds of felines, from the domestic cat, which lives closest to humans, to the caracal and serval that live in grasslands, to the snow leopard, jaguar and lion. Visitors will be able to learn more about these animals and their habitats through the panels.

"To celebrate the festive season, do come and visit the Zoo Education Exhibition 2014 with your family members and friends. You can relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, while broadening your horizons. It is surely an excellent activity that you should not miss," the spokesman said.
