The Leisure and Cultural Services Department today (December 19) announced the special opening hours for its museums and related venues during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
On Christmas Eve (December 24), the Hong Kong Science Museum, the Hong Kong Space Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of History, the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, the Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery, the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware, the Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, the Law Uk Folk Museum, the Hong Kong Railway Museum, the Sam Tung Uk Museum, Oi!, the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre and the Hong Kong Film Archive will close at 5pm.
On Christmas Day (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26) and New Year's Day (January 1), the Hong Kong Science Museum, the Hong Kong Space Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of History, the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence, the Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery, the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware, the Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, the Law Uk Folk Museum, the Hong Kong Railway Museum, the Sam Tung Uk Museum, the Sheung Yiu Folk Museum, the Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery cum Heritage Trail Visitors Centre, Oi! and the Hong Kong Film Archive will open as usual. However, the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre will close on these three days.
The Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre will also close at 5pm on Winter Solstice (December 22) and New Year's Eve (December 31).
