Public transport services resumed normal after re-opening of all roads

     The Transport Department (TD) today (December 15) said that the road sections in Causeway Bay which were closed while affected by the occupy movement have now been now reopened. Bus routes diverted earlier due to the road closures have resumed their original routeings. The tram service suspended for a long time has also resumed normal service.

     Following the re-opening of road sections in Central, Admiralty and Wan Chai last week, the illegally occupied road sections in Causeway Bay, including Hennessy Road eastbound between Percival Street and Jardine's Bazaar, and Yee Wo Street eastbound between East Point Road and Sugar Street, have also been reopened. All road sections which were illegally occupied during the occupy movement are now reopened.

     The tram service between Percival Street and Paterson Street which was suspended due to the illegal occupation of Yee Wo Street in Causeway Bay has returned to normal and all tram services have resumed. All bus routes diverted due to the road closures are back to their original routeings.
