Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tsing Yi this afternoon (December 13) in which a 58-year-old man died.
About 2.50pm, a private car driven by the 58-year-old man was traveling along Tsing Yi Road West towards Sai Tso Wan, while a medium goods vehicle driven by a 42-year-old man was traveling along Tsing Yi Road West towards Tsuen Wan. The two vehicles reportedly collided on the road.
After the impact, the 58-year-old man sustained serious head and chest injuries while the 42-year-old man sustained leg injuries. They were sent to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment. The 58-year-old man was certified dead at 9.31pm.
The case will be handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South.
