     The Hong Kong Police Force organised the Police Recruitment Day at the Auxiliary Police Headquarters today (December 13).

     More than 1, 500 applications were received for the posts of Probationary Inspector, Recruit Police Constable and Police Constable (Auxiliary).

     The event provided one-stop service to applicants, including initial screening and scheduling of written examination for Probationary Inspector candidates; initial screening and group interview for Recruit Police Constable candidates; and initial screening and scheduling of physical fitness test for Police Constable (Auxiliary) candidates.

     Upon completion of the selection process, successful Probationary Inspector and Recruit Police Constable applicants will respectively undergo 36 and 27 weeks of foundation training at the Police College, while successful Police Constable (Auxiliary) applicants will undergo a total of 320 hours of foundation training at the Auxiliary Police Headquarters.

     For the financial year 2014-15, the Forceˇ¦s recruitment target is 230 Probationary Inspectors and 1,100 Recruit Police Constables. It is expected that 80 per cent of the target will be achieved by the end of 2014. The remaining target will be achieved within this financial year.

     Probationary Inspector, Recruit Police Constable and Police Constable (Auxiliary) applications are accepted all year round. Interested parties are welcome to submit applications online or by mail.
