The Non-official Members of the Executive Council (ExCo) noted the Police operation today (December 11) to remove the obstacles and reopen the roads in the occupied areas in Central and Admiralty. Members believe the blocked roads and affected public transport services would soon return to normal and that public order would be restored. Members support the Police's professional, restrained and highly transparent enforcement action which has facilitated a smooth operation in general so far.
The ExCo Non-official Members urge members of the public to express their views on constitutional development through legal means with a view to realising the Hong Kong people's wish to select the Chief Executive by universal suffrage.
