HKMA's update on the operation of the banking system and financial market

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority:
According to the reports to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) from banks as at 8am today (December 4), all previously affected bank branches have resumed operation. One branch of one bank would shorten their business hours today. The HKMA has requested banks to resume normal services as soon as circumstances permit. The HKMA would closely monitor the situation in the areas concerned including Admiralty and Mongkok and announce relevant update if necessary. Customers can also pay attention to the relevant announcements by banks.
