The Trade and Industry Department (TID) will participate in the World SME Expo to be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Hall 1 from tomorrow to Saturday (December 4 to 6).
This annual expo, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), provides a one-stop platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to explore business opportunities in the world market, and to find business solutions and support services to address their needs.
As one of the supporting organisations and a major exhibitor, the TID will showcase the Department's work and support services to SMEs at Booth 1E-D01. In addition, business professionals and expert consultants will be available to provide a free one-on-one advisory service for SMEs on matters related to accounting, legal, marketing and setting up business. SME representatives are welcome to visit the Department's booth and make arrangements to meet these experts.
During the Expo, the TID will also jointly organise with the HKTDC a two-day seminar series entitled "New Trends of Distribution Channels in the Digital Era" on December 4 to 5 in Seminar Room E, Hall 1. Branding experts and representatives of renowned brands will speak at four seminars on topics related to distribution channels in the digital era. Seminars on "Branding Strategies in the Digital Era" and "Unlock the Potential of TV Shopping" will be held at 10.30-11.45am and 2-3.15pm respectively on December 4, while seminars on "Catch the Online Shopping Express - Self-built Online Shop vs Third-party Platform" and "Latest Development of Traditional Distribution Channels" will be held at 10.30-11.45am and 2-3.15pm respectively on December 5.
