The Government today (November 14) announced appointments to the Advisory Committee on Travel Agents (ACTA).
Mr Conrad Chiu, Miss Lisa Marie Djeng Kar-yee, Ms Lanny Leung Kong-lan, Ms Elaine Liu Yuk-ling and Mr Hazen Tang Tim-wan have been appointed as new members of the ACTA. They will respectively replace Mr Richard Au Yeung Sei-kwok, Mrs Bethy Tam Ho Kum-man, Mr Freddy Yip Hing-ning, Miss Tanya Chan and Mr Ken Chang Kin-ming, who have served the ACTA for six years.
Five existing members, Mr Buston Chu Yat-chiu, Professor Cathy Hsu Hui-Chun, Mr Joseph Tung Yao-chung, Ms Gilly Wong Fung-han and Mr Michael Wu Siu-ieng have been re-appointed.

The term of office of the above appointments takes effect from November 19, 2014 and lasts till November 18, 2016.
"We are grateful to the five retiring members for their valuable contribution to the work of the ACTA over the past years. We welcome the new members and look forward to working closely with the ACTA to continue to enhance the service quality of the travel trade," a Government spokesman said.
The ACTA is a statutory body established under section 7 of the Travel Agents Ordinance (TAO). It advises the Government on matters relating to the regulation of the travel agent trade and issues affecting the interests of the travel trade and consumers.
The appointments to the ACTA are made by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development under section 7(2) of the TAO, under delegated authority from the Chief Executive.
