"The Adventure of Baron Munchausen" to take you on magical comedy adventure
***********************************************************

The National Black Light Theatre of Prague from the Czech Republic will stage "The Adventure of Baron Munchausen" in December. Based on amazing tales about famous German nobleman Baron Munchausen, this escapade follows Munchausen and friend Doctor Parker as they go on an extraordinary and magical adventure.

In this story, Baron Munchausen believes that he rules the Empire of Fantasy, and keeps a diary about his confused memories. Doctor Parker hopes to cure him of these destructive delusions but ends up being unwillingly drawn on a journey into the Baron's fantasy world. On the journey, Doctor Parker begins to feel that he missed a lot in the past - true love, the healing effects of laughter and the pleasures of a simple life.

The performance promises playful and humorous scenes, black theatre tricks, film projections and music by Czech composer Petr Hapka. Along with a colourful set, costumes and decorations by Emma Srncová, the audience is promised a fanciful, fantastic and emotional story about the amazing Baron Munchausen's Empire of Fantasy.

The National Black Light Theatre of Prague was founded by Pavel Marek, who now has more than 30 years' experience in black theatre and multi-visual scenic projects. His scenographic arrangements have been successfully adapted for stages and amphitheatres worldwide, attracting both critical acclaim and artistic promoters. The National Black Light Theatre of Prague is frequently on tour and its performances are often sold out.
