************************************************************

Presented by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Berlin (HKETO Berlin) the exhibition "Hong Kong's Evolving Harbour" is set to continue its journey following a successful opening in Berlin on September 10. The exhibition is now being held in Hamburg from November 11 to 16 under the umbrella of China Time Hamburg 2014, and is supported by HafenCity Hamburg GmbH. A reception for the exhibition was held on November 11 (Hamburg time) at the HafenCity InfoCenter in the historic Kesselhaus, a former power station.

With a length of more than 20 metres, the exhibition highlights major harbourfront enhancement projects such as the West Kowloon Cultural District, a 40-hectare integrated arts and cultural district with world-class facilities; the New Central Harbourfront, offering spectacular views of Victoria Harbour; Kowloon East, a new central business district offering a high-quality working and living environment; and the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a new gateway between Hong Kong and Asia.

The Director of HKETO Berlin, Ms Betty Ho, highlighted the importance of the harbour for Hong Kong. "Victoria Harbour is not just an eye-catching backdrop for our city - it is the very heart of Hong Kong and we treasure it greatly. The combination of Victoria Harbour, our strategic location at the southern doorstep of China, our world-class infrastructure and our integrated services expertise have made Hong Kong the preferred international logistics hub and supply-chain base in Asia for goods moved by air, land and sea," she said.

Victoria Harbour and its harbourfront areas are being enhanced and revitalised to create a vibrant and connected world-class waterfront that is easily accessible and enjoyed by both residents and tourists alike. The exhibition introduces major new and future projects that will help unleash the enormous potential of Victoria Harbour for economic development, leisure and civic enjoyment.

The exhibition can be visited until November 16 from 10am to 6pm. Address: Am Sandtorkai 30, 20457 Hamburg.

Following China Time Hamburg 2014, the exhibition will be showcased again in the Hong Kong Hall of HKETO Berlin.

The fifth biennial China Time Hamburg is taking place from November 4-23. Every two years since 2006, the city of Hamburg has used this initiative to demonstrate its unique knowledge of China. Among more than 200 events, the exhibition on Chinese contemporary art "Secret Signs", a co-operation between the Swiss collector Uli Sigg and the M+ museum in Hong Kong, is another highlight of this year's edition.
