FS to leave for G20 Leaders' Summit in Australia

     The Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, will leave for Brisbane, Australia on Thursday (November 13) to attend the Group of Twenty (G20) Leaders' Summit to be held on November 15 and 16 as part of the delegation of the People's Republic of China.

     The Summit provides a valuable opportunity for leaders to discuss a wide range of global economic issues and use their collective power to improve people's lives.

     On the margins of the G20 Leaders' Summit, Mr Tsang will take the opportunity to meet his counterparts.

     Mr Tsang will then pay a three-day visit to Sydney from November 17 to 19 to meet with Australian officials to strengthen economic and financial ties between Hong Kong and Australia. He will also deliver a keynote address at the Sydney China Business Forum organised by the China Studies Centre of the University of Sydney on November 17.

     Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on November 19. In his absence, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K C Chan, will act as Financial Secretary.
