CE to attend Hong Kong/Guangdong Co-operation Joint Conference

     The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will lead a delegation to attend the 17th Plenary of the Hong Kong/Guangdong Co-operation Joint Conference in Guangzhou on November 6.

     Mr Leung and the Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr Zhu Xiaodan, will jointly preside over the meeting and meet the media afterwards.

     The delegation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government will include the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam; the Secretary for Transport and Housing, Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung; the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing; the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam; the Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing; the Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan; the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Edward Yau; the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Godfrey Leung, and Deputy Secretary for Education Mr Brian Lo.

     The Chief Executive will return to Hong Kong in the evening on the same day. During his absence, the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
