Police today (October 23) reclassified a wounding case occurred in North Point on October 13 as murder.
About 10.18pm on October 13, Police received a report that a man was found collapsed on Tsat Tsz Mui Road.
Police officers sped to the scene and found the 45-year-old man lying unconscious on the ground. Sustaining abrasion to his head, the man was rushed to Eastern Hospital in unconscious state and he was subsequently certified dead at 8.10pm last night (October 22).
A 33-year-old man was arrested for wounding on the same day.
He was further arrested for murder last night and was holding charged with one count of murder. The case will be mentioned in Eastern Magistrates’ Court today.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Eastern District are under way.
