According to the reports to the HKMA from banks as at 8am today (October 21), two branches of two banks were affected and temporarily closed. In addition, two branches of two banks would resume operation but would shorten their business hours today. Temporary suspension of ATM services (including cash withdrawal, and deposit and cheque deposit) in the affected areas is expected. The HKMA has requested banks to resume services as soon as circumstances permit. Customers should pay attention to the relevant banks' announcements regarding affected branches and ATMs. The HKMA will also publish on its website relevant updates from time to time.
