Regarding the unlawful assembly being held in illegally occupied area in Mong Kok yesterday (October 19), Police found that some adults had brought children to take part in such activity. Police strongly condemned such act which was extremely irresponsible and dangerous.
As some protesters act more and more radical, anyone bringing young children to high-risk area may put their safety at risk in case of confrontation. The parents or adults concerned may have breached the laws of Hong Kong.
Police appeal to parents to leave the scene with their children immediately. Otherwise, Police will take appropriate action to protect children from unnecessary harm. Other members of the public are urged to refrain from bringing children to high-risk area. Police also appeal to the people at scene to leave as soon as possible. Other members of the public should also take heed of their personal safety and should not go to that area.
