The Town Planning Board today (October 17) announced amendments to the approved Tung Chung Town Centre Area Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a site and its adjoining land in Tung Chung Area 27 from "Government, Institution or Community" and areas shown as "Road" to "Residential (Group A)1" with stipulation of domestic plot ratio and building height restrictions for public housing development. Other amendments have been made consequential to the above amendments to reflect the existing condition of the adjoining land in Tung Chung Area 27. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zones.
The draft Tung Chung Town Centre Area OZP No. S/I-TCTC/19 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Sai Kung and Islands District Planning Office, the Islands District Office and the Tung Chung Rural Committee.
Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before December 17. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
