Fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long this afternoon (October 14) in which a 41-year-old man was killed.
 
     About 6pm, a three-wheel vehicle driven by the 41-year-old man was travelling along Shui Tsiu San Tsuen Road towards Pak Sha Tsuen, while a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 57-year-old man was travelling along Shui Tsiu San Tsuen Road towards Tai Tong. When approaching near Pak Sha Tsuen, the two vehicles reportedly collided.

     After the impact, the 41-year-old three-wheel vehicle driver was suspected to have been hit by the iron rods on the vehicle. Sustaining serious head injuries, he was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 6.53pm.

     Another 53-year-old man on the three-wheel vehicle and the 57-year-old LGV driver were also injured. They were sent to Pok Oi Hospital for medical treatment in conscious state.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are under way.
