Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan this morning (October 13) in which a 43-year-old woman was killed.
About 7.10am, a private car driven by a 63-year-old man was travelling along Cheung Sha Wan Road towards Mongkok. When approaching the junction of Cheung Sha Wan Road and Mei Lai Road, it reportedly knocked down the 43-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious injuries to her head, the woman was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state where she was certified dead at 5.49pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are underway.
