Police remove road barriers on periphery of areas occupied by protesters

     Police started an operation to remove road barriers on periphery of areas occupied by protesters in Central District and Mong Kok from 5.30am this morning (October 13), aiming to relieve the traffic congestions on Monday working day, and reduce the chances of occurrence of traffic accidents. Police did not carry out clearance.

     The locations where Police removed barriers this morning included the vicinity of Des Voeux Road Central and Chater Road in Central District, and the vicinity of Argyle Street and Shanghai Street in Mong Kok. The operation in Central District this morning is ongoing while that in Mong Kok has been completed.

     Police advise protesters to follow Police officers' instructions, not to obstruct Police's operations and charge Police officers.  Protesters are urged to remove the road barriers as soon as possible and leave the scenes peacefully and orderly.
