Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tin Sum yesterday (October 5) in which a 22-year-old man died.
About 11.15pm, a private car driven by the 22-year-old man was travelling along Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Heights towards Kowloon, while a bus driven by a 57-year-old man was travelling in the opposite direction. After passing Keng Hau Road, the two vehicles reportedly collided.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the 22-year-old driver was trapped inside the compartment and was rescued by firemen. He was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 0.08am today (October 6).
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South, are underway.
