SHA highly commends HK athletes in Asian Games

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, today (October 4) highly commended Hong Kong athletes for their triumphs in the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014.

     "With their exceptional skills and perseverance, Hong Kong athletes captured medals for the Hong Kong team in different events, something we can all take pride in," Mr Tsang said.

     Mr Tsang complimented Hong Kong's athletes have once again delivered an outstanding performance at the Asian Games. This year also saw a record-breaking number of 42 medals won by the Hong Kong team at the Asian Games. Their indomitable spirit of sport is worth learning.

     This year, the Asian Games took place in Incheon from September 19 to October 4. The Hong Kong delegation comprises a record-breaking number of 472 athletes, representing Hong Kong in 31 events.

     The Hong Kong team has so far won 42 medals, including six gold medals, 12 silver medals and 24 bronze medals, at the Incheon Asian Games. The list of medals won recently is as follows:
