Attention duty announcers, radio and TV stations:
Please broadcast the following special announcement immediately, and repeat it at frequent intervals until 4pm:
"The Social Welfare Department announces that in view of the protests at various locations in Kowloon and on Hong Kong Island which have seriously affected the traffic, for safety's sake, members of the public affected are advised not to take their children or family members to child care centres or elderly services centres. These centres will, however, remain open to serve those whose families cannot provide alternative care for them."
