CSB strongly urges those gathering outside CGO to leave as soon as possible
***********************************************************

The Civil Service Bureau (CSB) condemns those gathering outside the Central Government Offices (CGO) for blocking the access roads there, resulting in civil servants being unable to return to their workplaces today (October 3).

A CSB spokesman said, "The CSB is highly concerned about the some 3,000 CGO staff who could not return to their workplaces as usual today, which adversely affects the operation of the government offices. The work of the civil service is to provide services to the general public. As the CGO could not operate as usual, the services provided to the public would inevitably be affected.

"The CSB expresses its appreciation to all colleagues who are committed to continuing to provide government services to the general public.

"The CSB calls on those who are gathering outside the CGO to leave peacefully as soon as possible, to stop obstructing various entrances and exits, and to refrain from disturbing civil servants entering and leaving the CGO."
