Protesters urged to reopen blocked roads for Police to deliver food and water

     The protesters currently (October 3) gathering outside the Chief Executive's Office (CEO) are seriously blocking the junction of Lung Wo Road and Tim Wa Avenue. They also refuse Police vehicles to enter Tim Wa Avenue and deliver food and water to Police officers on duty.  In the small hours of today, protesters also blocked the elevated walkway connecting Harcourt Road and Tim Mei Avenue and refused to let Police officers deliver food and water to Police officers on duty.

     Police have all along hoped to handle the situation thereat in a peaceful manner. Police Negotiation Cadre had been deployed to advise the protestors to stop blocking roads.

     Police urge the protesters to cooperate with the officers at scene and to facilitate Police to deliver food and water to officers on duty as soon as possible.
