Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tai Po this morning (October 1) in which a 25-year-old man was killed.
About 6am, a private car driven by a 25-year-old man was travelling along Tolo Highway towards Sheung Shui. When reaching near Wan Tau Tong Estate, the private car reportedly lost control and rammed onto the kerb.
The driver was trapped inside the compartment and rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious multiple injuries, he was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in semi-conscious state where he was certified dead at 7.52am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.
