In response to the forced entry by public meeting participants into the East Wing Forecourt of the Central Government Offices (CGO) on September 26, the Non-official Members of the Executive Council (ExCo) issued the following statement today (September 27):
The ExCo Non-official Members expressed sadness and regret over the forced entry by the public meeting participants into the East Wing Forecourt of the CGO, their occupying the Forecourt for more than 12 hours and leading to injuries of several people on September 26.
"We fully support Police enforcement in order to restore the order of the site as soon as possible."
"We hereby appeal to members of the public, especially students and underage people, not to participate in any illegal activity."
