SEN exchanges views on green building and air pollution issues in Washington, DC (with photos)

     The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, continued his visit to Washington, DC, in the United States (US) today (September 25, Washington, DC, time) to exchange views on green building development as well as air pollution issues in Hong Kong and the US.

     In the morning, Mr Wong met with the Vice President of International Operations of the US Green Building Council, Ms Jennivine Kwan, to discuss policies and initiatives to facilitate green building development.

     Mr Wong then called on the Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency, Ms Gina McCarthy, and both sides discussed issues relating to air pollution monitoring, regional air quality and marine port emissions.

     In the afternoon, Mr Wong departed from Washington, DC, to continue his duty visit to the US at its last stop in Seattle tomorrow (September 26, Seattle time).
