The Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Transport began its duty visit in Singapore today (September 23) to study the country's experience in development and provision of public transport facilities and traffic control measures.
The delegation visited the cycling facilities near Pasir Ris Town and received a briefing on Singapore's National Cycling Plan from the Land Transport Authority in the afternoon. Delegation members then took a bicycle ride around the Pasir Ris Town and visited bicycle parking area at a Mass Rapid Transit train station and the bicycle signal crossings facility.
The delegation will meet with the Minister for Transport of the Singapore Government as well as representatives from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore tomorrow (September 24).
